Summertime in Miami. Minutes spent lounging on the beach, and then back to the car to dodge the daily thunderstorm. Hunt down one of our favorite ice cream shops and wait out the rain in sweet, creamy, air-conditioned style.
1. Azucar Ice Cream Company
If you love guava, you must sample their signature flavor, Abuela Maria. If you love guava too much, you must order a 5-liter container and stay in this weekend.
2. Serendipity 3
You can save room for dessert, or you can skip your dinner entirely and marvel at the massive dessert set in front of you.
3. ChillN Nitrogen Ice Cream
Science is nearly as magical as unicorns, and watching the friendly folks at ChillN make ice cream using nitrogen is nothing short of magic.
4. The Frieze Ice Cream Company
The flavors rotate frequently and it’s all solid, tasty stuff.
5. Whip ‘n Dip
This place is great for family outings and has a dizzying amount of options. It’s a local staple.
6. Walls Old Fashioned Ice Cream
Walls is an adorable little spot with all of the retro charm of the ice cream shops in sitcoms.
7. Quarterman’s Ice Cream Parlor
Quarterman’s is closed on the weekends, but the ice cream is delicious enough to somehow work a visit into your weekday.
The gelato at Gelato-go is so creamy and fresh, they serve Italian pastries for breakfast, and your life may never be the same again.
9. Feverish Pops
All of the cool kids take their yummy, frozen treats on a stick.
10. Mimi Frozen Yogurt
Mimi has a lot of flavors as well as bubble tea, which isn’t unusual for a frozen yogurt place, but everything at Mimi’s actually tastes great.
