Recipe: Tuna Burgers

Chances are you have dozens of cans of tuna lying in the back of your pantry just waiting to be used for something, anything, other than another tuna salad. This recipe for tuna burgers will spruce up your boring canned tuna and make it into something everyone will love. Mix up your canned tuna with a few other pantry items and voila! Tasty tuna burgers for any occasion.


1/2 cup mushrooms, minced

2 cans water-packed albacore tuna, drained

1/2 cup zucchini, grated

1 onion, chopped

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

3 eggs

salt and pepper

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Mix together dry ingredients with your hands or wooden spoon. Add eggs, salt and pepper and Worcestershire sauce until all ingredients are combined. Shape the patties so they are about the size of your palm. Pan sear in a hot pan with oil until  golden brown on one side and flip over to sear the other until golden brown. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite accoutrements and enjoy!
